Hallo everyone! KONNICHIWA!
I'm the staff of Dentoya Akatsuki who loves traditional techniques!!
Today I would like to tell you about "the girl I met at the event".
The other day, I participated in a local event called "Tsunagu Tsumugu Tsunagari no Kai" and opened a store.
A girl around 14 years old picked up a Japanese paper coin purse from a lot of products and said, "Wow, it's beautiful!"
When the representative said, "It's made of Japanese paper," she answered, "I thought so."
She seemed to know it from the beginning, and when she saw the price, she said "very cheap!".
I was surprised to hear this story.
In the first place, I didn't think that a girl about 14 years old would be interested in a Japanese paper purse, much less know the value of Japanese paper!
Surprisingly, she knows that the craftsmen take the time and effort to make it.
She was also interested in traditional techniques and talked with the representatives about various things. As soon as he showed the Japanese paper notebook that he brought but did not exhibit, her eyes shined more and she bought it.
She also said that she would like to work something related to Japanese traditions in the future, and the representative was motivated at once!
"I will make the DENTOYA AKATSUKI bigger so that I can work with such a girl!", he said.
Until now, I have recommended Japanese paper products only to adults.I really saw the light.
I think that there are still few children who are interested in Japanese traditions like this. However, in order to inherit it, I want the children to be more and more interested. First of all, let's get to know it!
Therefore, I decided in detail the contents of the "matchlock-type rubber band gun shooting tournament" that I briefly introduced the other day.
This is a full-scale design that doesn't look like a toy! We will prepare a target exclusively for rubber band guns. We devise ways for children to experience tradition while playing, like competing for points or prepare prizes according to the number of points earned.
There is also a commentary on the shooting method and the mechanism of the matchlock gun by our shop representative who is a live shooting athlete of the matchlock gun. You can also experience actually touching the real thing.
You can feel like a warrior in Sengoku period!!! We will also exhibit the targets actually used at the competition and the tools for making bullets. Please consider it.
Also, there is a youtube channel of DENTOYA AKATSUKI, and I hope to be able to interview craftsmen in the future.
At that time, I would like to set up a segment where children interview craftsmen!
